JOB SUMMARY:
This position accomplishes the critical role related to overall fleet management, as it pertains to maintenance program adherence, producing long and medium-range maintenance program schedules that minimize downtime and brings the maximum number of required activities together when aircraft are down. Will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the New Zealand Defense Force (NZDF) airworthiness requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all maintenance planning and control coordination activities, including AOG and out-of-service aircraft maintenance events/activities.
Develop scheduled maintenance forecasts based on analysis of flight operations and scheduled maintenance requirements.
Report actual or potential deviations from the technical quality standards to the Accountable Manager.
Ensure that all technical information and specifications upon which aircraft overhaul, maintenance, repairs, servicing, modifications, installations, and rework are performed is approved and is the latest version available.
Ensure that all forms, documents, records, files, manuals, publications, maintenance records, and other quality information resources are periodically reviewed, and disposition handled according to Textron Aviation Standard Practice CSP 3-4, "Record Retention."
Ensure that all maintenance management functions comply with DARs Part M requirements.
Monitor and execute the aircraft maintenance program(s).
Manage the embodiment of modifications and repairs, ensuring all modifications and repairs are performed to an approved standard. Ensuring any instructions for continued airworthiness or follow-on inspections are captured and incorporated into the aircraft maintenance program as required.
Ensure all scheduled maintenance is carried out in accordance with the approved maintenance program.
Ensure all applicable AD, SB, SI, and operational directives are captured and applied in full within the prescribed period.
Capture and review all non-mandatory airworthiness data, as issued by Type Certificate / Supplemental Type Certificate holder(s) for the aircraft, engine, and equipment, implementing action plans as required.
Coordinate (Plan) scheduled maintenance, application of airworthiness directives, replacement of service life-limited parts, and component inspections to ensure the work is carried out correctly.
Maintain continued airworthiness records in accordance with DAR Part M.
Ensure the Certificate of Airworthiness for each aircraft managed by the organization remains valid.
Review and implement any additional New Zealand Defense Force airworthiness requirements as appropriate.
Coordinate with material management to ensure that the parts supply is compatible with the work packages provided.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA), or equivalent secondary school certification/degree required.
Graduate Diploma strongly desired in:
Aviation Management
Engineering
Supply Chain
Related Field
Airframe & Powerplant license or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 7 years of relative aviation experience required, of which at least two years should be within a CAA/EASA/Military Part M Sub-Part G, Part 145 organization in a comparative position (i.e. Deputy Quality Manager, Quality Auditor/Training).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to legally work in New Zealand.
Must be able to obtain RNZAF Basic security clearance for base access.
Candidate must be a self-starter with strong planning, organizational, written and verbal communication, and negotiating skills.
The ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, analyze situations objectively, make sound decisions, and interpret budgets and finance data.
Good interpersonal and presentation skills, as well as solid computer skills, are required.
Knowledge of EASA/EMAR applicable rules (Part 21, 66, 145, 147 & Part M, Sub-part G).
