Our dedicated and high-performing team offers whole-of-life vehicle and mobile plant management, from procurement, lease management, and disposal, to scheduled and unscheduled servicing, maintenance, and defect management.As Fleet Manager, you will use your effective management and strategic leadership to drive operational excellence within your delivery portfolio. You will form robust relationships with key internal customers and the wider Fleet team to promote Fleet services, ensure optimal performance of assets, and return on investment.Key responsibilities include:Maximising fleet utilisation by providing informed advice and support to customers.Fostering a strong culture of safety and compliance.Collaborating with Senior Management to align fleet operations with strategic goals and lead change initiatives.Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through a deep understanding of the customer base and providing regular updates to Senior Management.Performing regular reviews of asset performance; identifying improvement opportunities and managing maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.Using data insights for operational optimisation.This is a Full-Time, Permanent role based from our Great South Road depot in Penrose.To be successful in this role, you will have a high level of people and project management experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment and working with multi-functional teams across the business. In-depth knowledge of fleet management principles, asset lifecycle management, and maintenance best practices will be advantageous. You will also have:Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to positively engage and influence peers and stakeholders.Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and successfully implementing process improvements.A solid understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and best practices.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence and empower others.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.The flexibility to travel and stay away from home as required.Ko te take ka parekareka e koe ki te mahi ki konei | Why you will enjoy working hereDowner is committed to delivering excellence by ensuring our people have the environment and the means to be successful.
