We have an opportunity as the result of internal growth, to join our Vehicle Build team as the Fleet and Operations Support. This role works across the team to support our Build Managers in the coordination of the delivery of our trucks and trailers. We have interactions with a vehicle several times in its life whilst TR owns it. It may be a new build, a refurbishment, a mid-life tidy, changing between the lease and rental fleets, or a de-hire before going to sale.
This role would suit someone who is highly organised, a self-starter, computer and system savvy, knows their way around big gear, and has a great eye to spot defects in our vehicles on delivery - experience in heavy commercial transport is key. This role is a great mixture of in and out of the office, behind a desk and behind the wheel.
Some responsibilities of the Fleet and Operations Support:Receipt vehicles into the fleet and check that they are correct to what was ordered.Complete check sheets, photographs, and spec sheets of all vehicles going to rental or on a new lease.Report & tracking of defects relating to new vehicle deliveries and fleet refurbishment.Working with Suppliers to rectify defects to ensure minimal downtime.Ensure spec sheets and all relevant vehicle information is loaded and complete in TR's operating system Optimus.Perform timely and coordinated vehicle movements between workshops - includes engineers, painters, curtain manufacturers, sign writers, etc.Issuing specific job instructions and order numbers where required to suppliers on delivery of a vehicle to a workshop.You will have the ability to create processes and reporting mechanisms that ensure our administrative functions flow and are not onerous. Reviewing existing systems to identify areas of potential improvement around how we can do things more effectively and efficiently.Ideally, our person will have their Class 5 licence; however, for the right person, training can be provided.
