About the RoleThe busy Fleet and Facilities Team are seeking a Fleet and Facilities Advisor to join us on an 18-month fixed term, full-time basis (37.5hrs per week) in Dunedin.
This role reports to the Team Leader Fleet and Facilities and is focused on ensuring the smooth logistical functioning of our fleet and facilities.
The role requires critical and creative thinking to empower our teams within the Council to best serve our communities.
We work hard to deliver defined outputs within scope, timeframes, and budget, whilst adhering to relevant Council policies, guidelines, and procedures.
As a Fleet and Facilities Advisor, you will be responsible for:
Providing administration and technical assistance to the Support Services function.Responding to internal customer requests and queries.Providing support to enable efficient maintenance and management of Council plant and fleet, building maintenance and security.A copy of the full position description is attached in the Job Details below.
About YouOur ideal candidate will have:
A clean and full driver's licence.NCEA Level 3 or equivalent work experience.3+ years' experience in fleet and facility coordination and/or management.Experience in operations coordination/administration.Experience in buying/procurement or contract negotiation.The ability to work well autonomously and flexibly, in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.What we offerWe recognise and celebrate diversity within Team ORC and are committed to providing a work environment that supports inclusion and equal opportunities.
