Fixed Term Workshop Supervisor

Located in Mount Maunganui in the stunning Bay of Plenty, Page Macrae Engineering is known for exceptional delivery in the mechanical engineering industry. We have over 140 full-time employees, apprentices and contractors.
Due to a staff secondment to manage a large Project in the Kawerau we are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor for a 7-month contract. The role is responsible for managing the allocation and completion of work within the Manufacturing workshop.
Contractors or Fixed term employees will be considered.
Duties include:
Supervision and management of workshop staff
Setting productivity targets
Staff training and development
Review of job reports, progress claims and overall project progress
Perform weekly and daily toolbox meetings.
Support PMO with client site visits/measurements/planning as required.
Compliance with company QA procedures.
Assist the PMO with job execution input for quoting and estimating purposes.
Collaboration with other workshops supervisory staff to resource projects across the division
About you:
Good computer skills with intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience in a supervisory role for a minimum of 2 years (supervising at least 6 employees)
Experience with fabrication techniques, pressure vessels, welding codes and standards.
Possess an in-depth knowledge of engineering practices.
Good experience of the HSWA
