Fixed Term Workshop Supervisor

Located in Mount Maunganui in the stunning Bay of Plenty, Page Macrae Engineering is known for exceptional delivery in the mechanical engineering industry. We have over 140 full-time employees, apprentices, and contractors.Due to a staff secondment to manage a large Project in Kawerau, we are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor for a 7-month contract. The role is responsible for managing the allocation and completion of work within the Manufacturing workshop.Duties include:Supervision and management of workshop staffSetting productivity targetsStaff training and developmentReview of job reports, progress claims, and overall project progressPerform weekly and daily toolbox meetingsSupport PMO with client site visits/measurements/planning as requiredCompliance with company QA proceduresAssist the PMO with job execution input for quoting and estimating purposesCollaboration with other workshops supervisory staff to resource projects across the divisionAbout you:Good computer skills with intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience in a supervisory role for a minimum of 2 years (supervising at least 6 employees)Experience with fabrication techniques, pressure vessels, welding codes, and standardsPossess an in-depth knowledge of engineering practicesGood experience of the HSWACandidates MUST hold current NZ work rights and be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes drug testing.
