About the Role This role will effectively contribute to the smooth running of Ward 4B by providing an efficient and timely administration support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Providing high quality administration supportSet up and maintain effective electronic and paper filing systems and procedures relevant to the service, enabling quick access to informationIdentify potential improvements to systems and processes to ensure the continuous improvement of administrative dutiesEstablish and maintain an effective working relationship with other staffProviding excellent customer service, by listening and interacting in a courteous, polite and responsive manner while adhering to relevant established protocolsAbout the Team/Service/Location Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.

Be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrate flexibility and understand the need for strong attention to detailHave excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft SuiteCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settingsHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
