Some key responsibilities will include: · Welding repairs to damaged trailers requiring service MIG/TIG working in all positions.
· Fabrication of trailer components · Heating and straighten of damaged metal components · Engineering tasks such as: o Machining o Other: general engineering servicing needs for Hammar side loaders · Hydraulic repairs: Assisting with: o Fitting and removal of hydraulic rams from trailers o Repairs and maintenance on damaged/faulty hydraulic equipment o Seal replacement in valves and rams To be successful in this role you will also have: A minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience The ability to read & interpret electrical & hydraulic drawings (advantageous) A responsible attitude to workplace safety while carrying out tasks & maintaining the workplace environment An awesome work ethic & attitude Current NZ Welding Certification ISO 9606 is preferred Hammar NZ are looking for someone with a great sense of humour who will contribute to a positive, safe and productive work environment.
