Tradestaff Waikato is currently seeking a Confident Fitter Turner to join one of our valued engineering clients based in Hamilton, working within the dairy industry.

Key Responsibilities: Perform precision fitting, turning, and machining work to support dairy industry equipment. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Maintain and repair machinery used in dairy processing, ensuring they are operating at peak efficiency. Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve system performance and productivity. Assist with installation of new machinery and equipment as required. Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Fitter Turner, preferably within an engineering or industrial environment. Proficient in operating manual lathes, milling machines, and other workshop equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills. Experience working in the dairy industry or a similar manufacturing environment is an advantage. High attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong focus on health and safety practices. Reliable, punctual, and with a positive attitude to work.
