About this opportunity This position will ensure the efficient and safe running of the manufacturing process. Will assist the Operations Manager / Injection Technician so that products are delivered in full, to the correct quality specification, and on time in line with the requirements of the manufacturing plan whilst making H & S our first priority.
This role will work Night Shifts.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Preform mould change overs / insert changes / col changes. Start up work centres and ensure product complies with quality spec. Carry out routine maintenance / cleaning of mc and tools. Assist operating staff when required to relieve / operate m/c / material + col change tasks. Carry out housekeeping and Lean requirements. Actively seek engineering solutions to Health & Safety issues Ensure that product conforms to quality specification at start up and throughout the run. Maintain contact with the Injection Technician for prioritising of work, quality issues and work centre issues. Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Essential Plastics Trade qualification / or relevant Injection molding experience Able to work with Injection machinery control systems. Thorough understanding of Quality Assurance systems Can demonstrate written, oral and communication skills in line with the requirements of the role. Demonstrated mechanical experience. Safety first attitude Desirable Plastics Trade qualification or relevant hands-on industry experience Thorough understanding of all the manufacturing processes utilized. Maintain a current first aid certificate
