Fishing Vessel 1st Marine Engineer for FV Tokatu Sealord is the largest seafood company in the Southern Hemisphere. With more than 60 years of fishing experience, farming, processing, and marketing operations, our business consistently delivers quality seafood to our customers around the world.
Currently, we're looking to add to our team of 1,200 employees and have opportunities for a 1st Marine Engineer for FV Tokatu , the newest vessel in the Sealord fleet, built to our specifications and joining the company in 2018.
Responsibilities:
Manage the mechanical and electrical performance of the vessel's propulsion, fishing, processing, and ancillary systems in a safe and efficient manner.
Work independently with excellent problem-solving skills.
Commit to preventative maintenance systems.
Qualifications:
MEC 5 or 4/3 qualification.
Current Maritime Medical or ability to pass one.
Proven engineering experience on deep-sea fishing vessels.
Trip lengths on the vessel are between 35-45 days, and crew operate on a trip on, trip off rotation, generally working 12-hour shifts. PPE is supplied, and all meals are provided by our experienced cook.
