The mission of the Wireless Power Technology team is to build the world's best Wireless Charging user experience. We invent and develop bleeding-edge Wireless Charging designs that are central to Apple's products - the iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods and more! New challenges arise every day that require the sharp problem-solving skills of individuals. Be part of the Wireless Power QE team, focused on testing firmware and ensuring ultra-high quality for Apple's next generation of wireless charging devices. Our testing is focused on microcontroller based firmware interfaced with sensors and various other system components. You will be a motivated individual who independently follows up on issues, collaborates with developers to resolve low-level issues and can understand and discuss highly technical problems with developers. Will you help us design the next generation of revolutionary Apple products?Description• Owning the quality of wireless power firmware, software and algorithms in embedded applications• Hunting down bugs, clearly and concisely documenting issues, and tenaciously driving them to resolution• Developing and executing intelligent automated and manual test cases• Writing comprehensive test guidelines from engineering specifications and data sheets• Working multi-functionally to drive quality and communicate results• Using diagnostic software and hardware to isolate and debug complex issues• Analyzing field data to inform future design• Thoroughly analyzes how new features or designs impact the customer experienceMinimum QualificationsTertiary qualification(s) in the field of electrical engineering, computer science, or computer systems2+ years of quality engineering experience requiredStrong knowledge of validation strategies, bug hunting, and regression testingPreferred QualificationsTrack record of shipping great consumer facing productsScripting skills in Python, Bash, Swift, C++, AppleScript or other languagesUse of hardware debugging tools - Oscilloscopes, Logic AnalyzersExperience with embedded software architecture and languages such as C, Objective C, C++Experience developing and deploying test automation tools and frameworksExperience writing device drivers, instrumentation drivers and robot control drivers for use in automated testing
