About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fire Engineer to join our team in Wellington. You'll be working alongside an experienced team of Fire Engineers on a wide range of projects across many industries. You'll have the opportunity to be involved in the detailed design and construction monitoring of these projects. This role will also see you involved in: Undertaking detailed engineering and fire designs and produce precise calculations whilst adhering to quality standards. Developing an understanding of critical construction elements. Creating clear project proposals with project directors. Monitoring construction, responding to queries, and minimizing the need for redesign. Identifying and communicating risks for prompt resolution. Monitoring time for accurate project completion estimates. Recognizing and communicating Professional Indemnity risks. Preparing correspondence for assigned projects. Liaising with authorities, fire service, and relevant stakeholders on compliance. About You Experience working within the field of fire engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as well as holding a relevant degree in fire, structural, mechanical, or civil engineering. Ideally, you'll also have prior experience with performance-based design and have worked on large and complex projects. Your excellent technical skills will be matched by your ability to build meaningful client relationships and you'll be a confident communicator with the willingness to help out at every level.
