Holmes was formed more than 60 years ago in New Zealand and now has over 550 people across New Zealand, Australia, Europe, and the USA.About the roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fire Engineer to join our growing team in Auckland. You'll be working alongside an experienced team of Fire Engineers on a wide range of projects across many industries. With previous Fire Engineering experience, you'll be involved in the detailed design and construction monitoring of these projects. This role will also see you develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and provide technical support to our team, which could include mentoring and training to nurture and grow our talent from within. If you want to work in a growing and dynamic business with an opportunity to take the lead, this could be the opportunity for you!This role will also see you involved in:Undertaking detailed engineering and fire designs and produce precise calculations whilst adhering to quality standards.Developing an understanding of critical construction elements.Creating clear project proposals with project directors.Monitoring construction, responding to queries, and minimizing the need for redesign.Identifying and communicating risks for prompt resolution.Monitor time for accurate project completion estimates.Recognize and communicate Professional Indemnity risks.Prepare correspondence for assigned projects.Liaise with authorities, fire service, and relevant stakeholders on compliance.About YouWe're looking for experienced fire engineers who are ideally qualified in Fire Engineering (could have an undergraduate in Mechanical, Structures, or Civil) with at least 2 years' experience. Ideally, you'll also have prior experience with performance-based design and have worked on large and complex projects.
