Fire Alarm Technician

Fire Alarm TechnicianWe are looking for Experienced Fire Alarm Technicians with background knowledge and experience with the following (but are not limited to):Installation of fire alarm systems in various buildings including mounting alarms, detectors, control panels and other componentsInspection and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure they are in working order and to diagnose faultsAdjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment, components and instrumentsReassembling, testing, operating and adjusting systems, equipment and componentsRoutine maintenance to keep systems in good working conditionTroubleshooting and repairs - ability to diagnose the problem and make necessary repairs or install replacementsSystem Upgrades – ensuring existing systems are upgraded to meet current safety standardsCode compliance - using correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions and to ensure that fire alarm systems are installed and maintained in compliance with relevant codesAccurate record keeping – ensuring documentation is up to date and maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, maintenance activities and any repairs or upgrades made to systemsIdeally, you will be or have:Minimum 3+ years' experienceTrade qualifications preferred however scope and length of experience may substitute for the formal qualificationFull NZ Drivers LicenceAt least 2 work references100% commitment to Health & SafetyAble to pass a pre-employment drug testIn return we offer competitive rates of pay, varied and challenging work.Pay rates range from $30 - $40 per hour depending on experience.APPLY NOW - We want to talk to you soon!
