On the back of customers loving what we stand for, coupled with our burning desire (excuse the pun) to transform the industry, we have a vacancy for a Fire Alarm Technician who can assist with testing and surveying. The RoleThe Fire Alarm Technician will be delivering Customer Service, all day, every day. This will mainly be by visiting customer sites to test and survey Fire Alarm Systems for compliance with NZ/AS Standards. You will also be carrying out fault finding, service, and remedial work on Fire Alarm Systems. At FSS, we deliver great service as we aim to exceed our customers' expectations. While predominantly you will be working on fire alarm systems, there will be variety with testing and surveying. Ideally, we need a senior technician with three years in the Fire Protection Industry and be familiar with NZS4503 & NZS4512. As a self-starter, you can easily organise your own workload and thrive being out and about travelling from site to site each day. There is an On Call roster which you will be part of. It is not just about your technical skills; it is how you deliver them. With our Company expanding, we are looking for a new Team Member who can add quality and expertise to our crew. Minimum RequirementsA clean, full NZ driver licenceMinimum 3+ years' experience in New Zealand working on fire alarm systemsFamiliarity with NZS4503, NZS4512, and the Building CodeGreat customer service with a friendly communication styleClean Criminal history recordBased in the greater New Plymouth areaAssistance with relocation is available for the right candidate. You will be required to undergo pre-employment drug testing.
