The AquaFire business is growing in Auckland therefore we need new team members to assist with our busy workload. We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with skills around working on large construction sites, networked Fire Alarm panels, networked Aspirating systems and EWIS systems. This is a great small team to work with.
Reporting to the Project Manager - Fire Protection, you will be responsible for:
Efficiently, effectively and safely carry out all planned maintenance, reactive or remedial service work, fault diagnostics and installation works relating to Passive Suppression Systems (Fire Alarm Systems) as requested/instructed by the Fire Alarm Manager or Fire Protection Administrator.At all times enthusiastically expedite all works in a professional and tradesman-like manner to a level of quality that meets current accepted commercial/industry standards.Working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver high quality Fire Protection trade service.Ensuring a safe working environment for self, colleagues, customers, and the general public.The Fire Alarm Technician will champion the continued development and delivery of the Company's guiding principles.To be successful a candidate will require the following qualifications and experience:
Demonstrated experience in a relevant trade area required.Knowledge and understanding of Fire Alarm standards and installation practices.Commercial and industrial installation and maintenance.Experience with building services fire protection systems and using hand or power equipment.Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests and working within Health & Safety guidelines.Current NZ Drivers Licence.This position will require availability for afterhours work and emergency call support on a rotating basis. Therefore, the Fire Alarm Technician position requires an individual with the willingness to work flexible hours and the ability to manage their own time to meet deadlines.
