What you'll do: As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting best practice project accounting. You will be responsible for supporting working capital management for various projects by focusing on areas of improvement. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing advice throughout the life cycle of a project. You will also work closely with project leaders to prepare supporting documentation for fair project variations. Your role will involve supporting commercial business partners with pricing and profitability analysis. Furthermore, you will implement contract mechanisms related to invoicing, reporting and budget changes. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you analyse project performance dashboards and reports. Lastly, you will coordinate project forecasting to aid decision-making.
Demonstrate and promote best practice project accounting including support to project governance, financial management plans, ERP & project delivery systems, project audits, project controls, invoicing, and project reporting.Support working capital management for the project(s) by focusing on areas of improvement and ensure proactive steps are being taken to resolve issues and align project processes with client invoicing cycles.Provide advice throughout the life cycle of a project, including project reporting & controls, work breakdown structure, and earned value/revenue assessments.Work with project leaders to prepare supporting documentation to secure fair project variations.Support commercial business partners with pricing and profitability analysis to inform pricing decisions.Implement contract mechanisms as they relate to invoicing, reporting and budget changes.Analyse project performance dashboards and reports, highlighting key insights about the project's financial performance that supports the decision-making process.Coordinate project forecasting to support projects leaders with decision-making.What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Financial Reporting Manager role will have a Big 4 (or equivalent) background as Assistant Manager or Manager and a first commercial experience dealing in project and contract management. A CPA or CA status is preferred. You should possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Your ability to demonstrate and promote best practice project accounting will be crucial in this role. Experience in supporting working capital management for projects is essential. You should be able to provide advice throughout the life cycle of a project and prepare supporting documentation for fair project variations. Experience in supporting commercial business partners with pricing and profitability analysis is also required. Furthermore, you should be able to implement contract mechanisms related to invoicing, reporting and budget changes. Lastly, strong analytical skills are needed to analyse project performance dashboards and reports.
Relevant tertiary qualification or significant knowledge and experience in project and contract management.CPA or Chartered preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to demonstrate and promote best practice project accounting.Experience in supporting working capital management for projects.Ability to provide advice throughout the life cycle of a project.Experience in preparing supporting documentation for fair project variations.Experience in supporting commercial business partners with pricing and profitability analysis.Ability to implement contract mechanisms related to invoicing, reporting and budget changes.Strong analytical skills to analyse project performance dashboards and reports.What's next?
