Financial Crime InvestigatorBased in ChristchurchPerm, full timeMo te turanga | About the RoleIn this role you'll conduct investigations into a range of different incidents including fraud, scams, criminal acts and money laundering that may result in financial loss or reputational harm against the Bank.
This will involve full, end-to-end investigations which include interviewing, taking statements from victims, witnesses or suspected offenders, as well as seeking and monitoring remediation or reparation.As a subject matter expert you will also answer questions from Westpac employees or customers, it's all about the detail.In this autonomous and detail-driven role, your integrity and understanding of process and procedure will be your biggest assets.
You'll ensure your interviews and evidence are handled according to Bank and industry standards.
You'll also identify systemic or procedural failures and make recommendations for strengthening the control environment.
