Financial Crime Compliance Specialist We are looking for a Risk or Compliance professional to join our Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team. The FCC team at ASB lead in the protection of our customers and communities from financial crime and support the business in mitigating the risks of sanctions, money laundering, terrorism financing, bribery & corruption, and tax evasion. As a specialist, you will play a key part in identifying key FCC-related risks across ASB (with a focus on sanctions) and provide subject matter expertise and advise to key stakeholders. You will need to stay at the forefront of key FCC-related regulatory and industry changes to ensure ASB is well positioned to adapt, and that those changes are reflected in bank policies and procedures. Furthermore, you will assess the ongoing assessment of key controls across the bank, handle detailed regulatory reporting and impact-assess complex change initiatives. Success in this role will be ability to understand and articulate financial crime-related risks, work collaboratively across the organisation, apply a pragmatic approach through a risk lens and enable the business to understand, proactively manage and optimise their FCC obligations. Experience in Compliance, Risk Management or Audit capacity - preferably in the banking sector In-depth knowledge of financial crime risks (including sanctions) and financial services legislation and regulations Proven ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex technical information to non-subject matter experts Excellent written and oral communication skills Only applications with current work rights in NZ will be considered at this time.
