About the Company: Our client, a leading company in automotive parts, is seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join their senior leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and strategic growth within a dynamic and innovative organisation. The Role: As the Financial Controller, you will play an essential role in the business, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, cash flow management, risk and compliance, and leading a small team of finance professionals. Your strategic input will be crucial in supporting the company's long-term goals and ensuring financial stability. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Lead the finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial reports. Manage cash flow, debtors, and creditors to ensure the company meets its financial obligations and strategic targets. Leadership: Actively participate in the senior leadership team, contributing to the development and execution of business strategies. Provide mentorship and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Business Support: Implement and maintain systems and processes to support business operations. Ensure all financial metrics and reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives. Risk & Compliance: Develop and manage the company's risk profile, ensuring comprehensive mitigation plans are in place. Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements. Team Management: Lead and develop a collaborative finance team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel. Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations within the team. About You: We are looking for a proactive and experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial management and leadership. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role. Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting and Accounting Standards, with a working knowledge of NZ Employment Law, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act. Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading successful teams. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation. Why This Role?
