In this role, you will provide essential management support and administrative services to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment while maintaining a work-life balance.Responsibilities:Provide professional, high quality administrative support to ensure the Manager Finance and Finance team leads receive personal assistance and secretarial services to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.Provide administrative support to the PIF board members as required, including updating the Diligent platform with agendas and supporting papers.Provide administration services that meet leaders, staff and contractor expectations and comply with relevant policies and procedures.Assist with administration and other duties for the Group Projects and Reporting obligations as required that meet agreed time and quality standards.Coordinate travel bookings for staff including collation, coding, payment and accurate recording of monthly travelcard statements and any resulting insurance claims from cancelled travel.Have a detailed knowledge of the Council's financial system and assist with payment processes that meet with Council standards and approved appropriately.Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation.Minimum Requirements:Certificate or diploma in Accounting or Finance.High level of competency in the Microsoft suite of products.Driver's licence.Experience in an administrative position.Experience with financial systems and document management.Dealing with a diverse range of people.Assisting with project management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.He aha ai a Taranaki? - Why Taranaki?With the stunning Mt Taranaki as a backdrop and the warm iron sands along our coast, it is no wonder Taranaki is one of the best regions in New Zealand and the world.
