Playcentre seeks to empower whanau and tamariki to work, play, learn and grow together, and today has over 400 centres nationwide.Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will take ownership of the financial system to ensure integrity of the financial data and controls in the system, implementing improvements where necessary.You will be responsible for processing month-end accruals and adjustments, to ensure delivery of reliable and accurate month-end and annual reports and will lead the delivery of the annual financial statements. You will also ensure that Playcentre Aotearoa is compliant with relevant financial regulations.This is a new role for Playcentre following the planned centralisation of support. This transition will take some time, and as such, it will be a dynamic environment with plenty of stimulating challenges and complexity to get stuck into.This is a unique opportunity to be part of the biggest change Playcentre has seen in its history, while using your financial accounting expertise to make a positive difference for this important and iconic New Zealand organisation.Person Profile:Chartered Accountant with experience in managing a medium to large financial systemSuperior communication, problem-solving and analytical capabilities, coupled with sound judgementExcellent time management skills and highly accurateEnjoys working collaboratively, with a 'can do' attitude and strong customer focusHighly developed interpersonal skills; able to relate effectively and authentically at all levelsEmpathy for the philosophy and values of PlaycentreExperience in Dynamics Business Central, or a similar system with well-developed Microsoft Office Word and Excel skillsMember of CAANZ or equivalent professional bodyRelevant business/accounting related qualification – Commerce, AccountancyApplications close: Wednesday 4th December 2024Applications to: Nikki Walshaw via mclaren.co.nzPosition description: Available to view at mclaren.co.nz
