This individual will be a strategic thinker, who is driven to help lead the way in providing sound advice and financial input. They will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, month-end closing procedures, tax reporting, financial analysis, and year-end financial reporting. They will also be involved in assisting with budgeting and forecasting, system testing and implementation, as well as supporting year-end audits and the preparation of financial statements.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesMonth-End CloseGST/FBT Return Preparation and FilingYear-End Auditing and Financial Statement PreparationBudgeting and ForecastingSystem Testing and ImplementationAbout YouBachelor's degree in Accounting.Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional certificate.Proven experience (4-6 years) in accounting, with a focus on month-end processes, year-end reporting, and financial statement preparation.Strong knowledge of GST and FBT compliance and preparation.Experience with Dynamic 365 Business Central (preferable but not essential), or other equivalent accounting software.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Proactive, shows great initiative.In turn, you will get to enjoy:Medical insurance and income protection coverFlexible working optionsDiscounted gym membership with Les MillsOnsite parking at our Grafton officeThis is an exciting opportunity to help shape New Zealand's manufacturing sector by supporting businesses in their journey to become more efficient and competitive.
