Financial Accountant - Maternity Leave Cover Real Estate Brands Limited (REBL) has been providing exceptional real estate services to our local communities for five decades. The REBL group supports five progressive real estate brands - Tremain Real Estate, Colliers Commercial, Colliers Rural, Tremain Rentals and a luxury real estate brand across Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa, Manawatu,Taupo, Rotorua and Waikato.We are an elite team who work together to deliver a leading business platform that enables industry specialists to maximise opportunities across all sectors of the real estate market.The Role:We are looking for a proactive and innovative Financial Accountant to join our team from mid-June 2024 to the end of January 2025 (8 months), on a fixed-term full-time basis to cover maternity leave.The successful candidate will take on the role of lead accountant for our Colliers Rural and Commercial entities, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.Your primary objectives include monthly account preparation, managing month-end processes, analysing operational drivers, and preparing budgets. You will possess strong financial insight, communication skills, and the ability to provide insightful analysis while engaging with the team and be willing to assist with office requirements.Key Skills and Qualifications:Degree in Accounting3+ years in Financial Accountant rolesPC proficiency (Windows environment) and strong working knowledge of Excel is essentialMembership of or working towards membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand or similar (not essential)Proficiency in accounting software Xero and knowledge of Payroll systems would be highly desirable.Why should you work for us?We have a fantastic work culture, with a focus on work-life balance.We believe family comes first.
