Financial Accountant

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to work on a short-term three-month role, working within the Planning and Reporting unit of a larger finance team. The role is based on the north side of Hamilton. This role provides timely and accurate financial accounting information required by management and various stakeholders. This includes preparation of treasury and financial reports including the financial information for the Annual Plan, Annual Report and Long-Term Plan. We are looking for a tertiary qualified accountant 3+ years' experience in either a local government, accounting or commercial sector. Ideally you will have: Excellent IT knowledge with a good understanding of accounting applications and financial systems Strong analytical abilities and exceptional attention to detail The ability to prioritise workload and meet set deadlines Working knowledge of NZ taxation Strong organisational skills Highly developed interpersonal and relationship skills Does this sound like you?
