They are rapidly growing and are now seeking a high-performing Financial Accountant to join their forward-thinking team.Position Overview:The newly established position of Financial Accountant is pivotal within the company's organizational structure. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Financial Accountant serves as a key liaison between various stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Financial Accounting: Overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, including the preparation and maintenance of financial records.Audit and Compliance: Managing the audit process, coordinating with external auditors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.Financial Systems and Processes: Safeguarding the robustness of financial systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency and accuracy.Financial Analysis and Reporting: Providing accurate financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Day-to-Day Financial Activities: Overseeing all day-to-day financial activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management, to ensure smooth operations and financial integrity.Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining close relationships with senior managers across the organization, collaborating to guide decision-making processes and assisting in achieving financial targets and standards.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant with an appropriate tertiary degree and a successful track record in a similar role. Experience within a Chartered Accountancy firm would be beneficial. A good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards is essential. Knowledge of Xero and Excel is required.Articulate with a practical can-do attitude, you will be skilled in analysing and producing insightful, easy-to-understand financial reports and providing audit assistance.
