About the opportunity This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the Finance Team in a permanent full-time position. You will take responsibility for key finance deliverables and provide advanced technical accounting support to the organisation. The role is based at the Norwood Support Office in Palmerston North. Some of the key responsibilities:    Management and reconciliation of the general ledger Preparation of month end/year-end financial statements Working with the team to prepare annual budgets Preparation of annual tax returns Compliance with statutory and taxation requirements Liaising with external auditors Continuous improvement and recommendations on system updates and enhancements To be successful we see these things as important   Strong financial analysis and reconciliation skills Proven track record in a role with similar responsibilities Accuracy and attention to detail Strong IT system skills (ideally D365) Experience and enthusiasm to build partnerships and work collaboratively as part of a team A drive for ongoing professional and personal growth Some of the benefits that we can offer you Premier Health Business cover with NIB If you're self motivated and have a robust accounting background, then apply now.
