We are looking for a degree qualified, positive and pro-active Financial Accountant with 1-2 years of general all-purpose accounting experience to join the McAlpine Hussmann team! If you can show a positive team-focused personality with attention to detail and focus on accuracy, then we would love to hear from you.
The role: We are in growth mode, so the primary function of this role is to bring much needed support and bandwidth to the finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager this role will be broad and varied but will include the following key accountabilities:
Fixed asset accountingLease accounting for our property and vehicle leasesCredit card spend, reporting and complianceMonth end processes, journals and analysisBalance sheet reconciliationsFBT calculation, review and analysisCredit control - engaging with customers and internal stakeholders, performing doubtful debt analysis and provisions, credit checks and new customer account requestsAssist with statutory compliance programme for audit and tax.Key skills required for this role: Degree qualified1-2 years general all-purpose accounting experience or experience in a finance team environmentCan show a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Experience in working with facts and figures as part of a wider finance department.Experience in operating accounting systems (SAP, D365, JDE etc) for completion of tasksExcellent communication skills both written and oralAbility to problem solve / issue resolution skills.Positive can do attitude, inquisitive and with initiativeWillingness to learn and developWhat can we offer you?
