What will you do?
As the Finance Manager - Reporting, you will bring your energy and problem-solving skills to influence key business decisions and enhance processes. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in ambiguity, excels at collaboration, and turns ideas into actionable results.
In this position, you will ensure the accurate and timely consolidation of financial results across all Group entities. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes, preparing consolidated financial statements in compliance with international accounting standards, and ensuring that financial reporting is accurate and consistent.
You will play a vital role in the financial reporting process and be the conduit between the financial accounting, commercial accounting and investor relations teams. Additionally, you will collaborate with our wider finance team, the wider business, Directors and external auditors.
This role is more than just numbers; you'll build strong relationships across the business, becoming a trusted partner beyond the finance function. You'll champion our team, influence outcomes without direct reporting lines, and navigate ambiguity with confidence.
Please note that this is a Christchurch based role sitting alongside the core finance team.
Other key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the Group's month-end and year-end financial close process
Managing the financial statement process for the Group and individual villages
Supporting our Australian based finance teams with regulatory specific reporting
Ensuring that the Group results are reconciled within the Group reporting and forecasting tool
Supporting the Finance Business Partnering team with preparing group-level financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Supporting Investor Relations to obtain the relevant financial information necessary for external publication
Preparing accounting papers (as needed) for the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee and being part of the sector-leading changes that are being implemented
Managing and optimising the consolidation process and related systems, and identifying areas for automation and efficiency improvement

Who are you?
You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, as well as CPA or CA qualified
You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in financial consolidation and reporting in complex multi-national environments
