Established back in 1948 as Alliance Freezing Company (Southland) Limited, we continue to grow and currently have 7 processing plants across New Zealand and 2 support offices.We supply New Zealand's finest grass-fed lamb, beef and venison and our products are enjoyed in more than 65 countries across the globe, from the rich tapestry of the United Kingdom to the intriguing and ancient wonders of Asia.Our strong international presence and continued success is the result of an innovative farmer-owned co-operative that never loses sight of its heritage, whilst continuing to seek opportunities and possibilities to grow effectively.We currently have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team in Christchurch, reporting to the Group Financial Controller.Leading a team of 2 Financial Accountants, this role will own the entire financial month and year end processes as well as business as usual accounting tasks, reporting (including board reporting) and ensuring that AGL meets all statutory compliance.Providing specialist financial and technical advice, the Finance Manager will strive for continuous improvements in processes they lead as well as contributing to the strategic and operational decisions of Alliance Group.An integral role at Alliance Group, we are looking for someone who has high technical capability and takes initiative to get things done. In addition, we are looking for the following skills and experience:Tertiary qualified to Bachelor level, in finance, accounting or economics.Accounting Professional Fully Qualified (CA, CPA, or equivalent)6+ years experience to an intermediate/senior level at a Professional Accounting Services firm with significant interaction with complex clients.NZ Tax compliance understanding and experience is highly advantageousStrong technical skills.
