Lewis Road Creamery have a genuine pasture to plate story and consistently challenges through innovation and marketing within the dairy landscape in New Zealand and abroad.Due to the current Finance Manager heading away on maternity leave in 2025 an opportunity has arisen for a new Finance Manager to join.As the Finance Manager at Lewis Road, you'll be the financial backbone of the business working closely with the GM Finance to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the accounting tasks and financial reporting functions of the business as well as providing commercial support and insights. You will also play a key part in supporting the business to move to a new ERP system taking ownership of that project with support from the GM Finance. It's an exciting time to join.Responsibilities will include:· Manage month-end closing processes.· Conduct inventory management and reconciliations (NZ & USA) and calculate COGS.· Oversee set-up of new inventory items, product categories.· Ensure completion of all month-end journals (Accruals, Prepayments, FX, Wastage, and Sampling).· Liaise with USA Sales manager on monthly results, inventory, invoicing, broker fees, distributor discounts. Maintain sales forecasting and tracking.· Manage Balance Sheet and major GL account reconciliations.· Prepare monthly financial reports and month-end reporting packages for relevant stakeholders.· Perform royalty calculations and validate store rebates.· Calculate merchandising invoicing.· Manage cost allocations to a store and product level and update the Power BI database for Gross Profit reports.· Oversee and support AP & AR functions by liaising with the Baker Tilly team, ensuring accurate transaction coding.· Liaise with Baker Tilly to support tax compliance (GST, FBT), and ensure Fixed Assets & Depreciation are completed.· Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.· Assist auditors with annual auditing.· Business partner with all relevant stakeholders and provide all required reports.· Lead and manage the Assistant Accountant.· Key contributor to the Lewis Road Business Central implementation, utilising existing Business Central experience to support new users on their Business Central journey.Required skills and experience:· Degree in Accounting plus you must be CA Qualified· At least 3 year's experience in a senior accounting role· Experience in a distribution or a manufacturing business· People management experience desirable but not essential· Experience with Microsoft Business Central is highly desirable.
