The CompanyThis well-backed company is positioning itself for growth and development. The finance team is led by an excellent CFO and Commercial Manager, who brings strong leadership and vision to support the company's strategic ambitions.The RoleAs the company defines the long-term structure of this position, it seeks a contractor who can start at short notice. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. A key focus will be ensuring that all core finance obligations are met accurately and efficiently, supporting the company's ongoing stability and growth trajectory.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & GovernanceEnsure accurate, timely financial reporting to aid decision-making; develop budgets and financial plans aligned with business strategy.Provide analysis for strategic planning and decision support; prepare annual and monthly financial statements in compliance with standards.Maintain integrity of accounting systems through reconciliations, accruals, and system mapping; improve cash flow forecasting and document accounting processes.TaxationMaintain compliance with GST and FBT regulations; advise stakeholders on tax matters.Manage tax filings, oversee monthly audits of GST accounts, and maintain tax records for audits.Develop procedures for FBT and GST, collaborating with staff on requirements.Fixed AssetsDevelop capex budgets, manage depreciation, and maintain asset records.Conduct asset audits and support with audit schedules and asset-related reporting.Strategy & RiskEnsure compliance with accounting standards; implement financial controls to minimize risk.Evaluate external and strategic risks, implementing policies and strategies to manage financial risk.About YouIdeally, you are CA or CPA qualified, bringing a strong commitment to accuracy and operational efficiencies. You will have a natural ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, demonstrating both influence and collaboration skills that contribute positively to team and organisational goals.
