Our client is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their dynamic Finance team. This role is integral to the development and execution of their strategy, providing financial information and insights that drive key business decisions. You will be part of a high-performing team, responsible for consistent messaging of financial performance to key stakeholders. The role is based in Wellington CBD, with flexible working opportunities.
What you'll do:
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in the Finance team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and consistent delivery of financial data. You will complete the month-end process, prepare journals, review work papers, and perform balance sheet reconciliations. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality financial analysis that supports business decision-making. You will also have the opportunity to present your findings to key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Provide professional finance and management accounting services.
Offer proactive, expert advice to managers and their support staff in understanding their financial reports and analysing against budgets.
Coordinate and train budget managers & the support staff with systems, budgeting, resourcing, analysis, and business cases.
Lead in providing strategic financial analysis and planning advice, including fiscal risk.
What you bring:
As a Finance Business Partner, you bring a wealth of experience in finance business partnering or management accounting. Your strong reporting capabilities coupled with your excellent communication skills make you adept at liaising with various stakeholders. Your sound budget management, planning and forecasting experience will be crucial in this role.
CA qualified or similar professional accounting qualification.
At least five years sound accounting experience including Finance Business Partnering and/or Management Accounting experience.
Strong reporting capability with stakeholders, including variance reporting, trending and analysis experience.
Sound budget management, planning and forecasting experience.
Excellent working knowledge and understanding of computer systems, particularly Financial Management Information Systems and Excel.
