We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance and Administration team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will play a key role in providing strategic financial advice and support to the business units.
About the role The Finance Business Partner will involve collaborating with key stakeholders across various business units to drive financial performance, enhance decision-making, and ensure the achievement of business objectives.
The role will also be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in managing the NZQA budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure alignment with financial strategies and goals.
Skills and experience required CA membership.
Proven experience in business analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
Experience in reviewing business processes and assessing financial viability, spreadsheet (MS Excel), and financial modelling.
Experience in NZ Government reporting.
Good written communication skills and reporting writing.
Business acumen and customer-focused approach.
Proven relationship management and negotiation skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop/maintain trusted advisor relationships with the business managers and staff.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented focus on accuracy and precision.
Strong organisational and time management skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting deadlines.
Self-motivated, and ability to coach and mentor others in building a high-performing team.
Have a demonstrable commitment to, and sensitivity towards equity issues and promoting the aspirations of Maori under the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
