About the role:
Are you looking to take your finance career to the next level? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance business partner to work alongside our diverse business groups at Council. You will provide strategic and technical advice on a wide range of activities relating to Council's financial planning and reporting activities.
Key responsibilities:

Working closely with cost centres to aid informed decision making.
Preparation of budgets and meaningful monthly variance reporting for the cost centres.
Maintenance and calculation of all development contributions accounts and charges.
Coordination of effective cross departmental process for development contributions annual policy review.
Providing advice to budget holders, including strategy and required finance/accounting training.
Identifying and leading improvements to financial systems and management reporting.

About you:
If you are enthusiastic and forward-thinking, with good budgeting acumen and a strong ability to get the job done, then this may be the role for you.
You will also have:

At least 7 years work experience working in a large corporate organisation managing multiple stakeholders.
A proven work record demonstrating the ability to carry out duties with minimal supervision to a high standard.
High level management accounting knowledge.
Strong financial modelling and spread sheeting skills.
Professional working knowledge in Microsoft based platforms, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities.
