Finance Assistant - Hastings

Role Type: 12-Month Fixed Term, Part-Time, 25 Hours per week (minimum) Location: Whakatu, Hastings About The Opportunity As a member of our talented and high-performing Finance team in TotalEnergies, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall success of our business.
Working out of our Head Office in Hastings and alongside six passionate teammates, you will contribute to the achievement of both our financial and wider business objectives.
We're on a journey to streamline the way our team operates and, as one of three Finance Assistants in the team, you will provide key input into improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our various Finance functions.
We expect the journey will take up to 12 months to complete, and this fixed term role is likely to be extended or to transition into a new permanent opportunity once we've finalised our new operating rhythm.
This part-time role will be for a minimum of 25 hours per week (ideally spread over 4-5 days) and may also work up to 40 hours per week when required to cover team absences or peaks in workload.
We're open to flexible working arrangements and encourage our team to work from home for one day each week!
In this role, you would have the opportunity to: Work closely with the Finance Manager and the wider team to ensure an efficient and highly customer-focussed service for all administration and accounts-related enquiriesPartner with staff across our nationwide branch network and provide a supportive and effective service in assisting with their day-to-day finance requirementsCollaborate with the wider business and identify creative ways to improve efficiencies, effectiveness and overall achievement of business objectivesContribute to various finance tasks, including: receipting of customer payments; setup of accounts; overdue debt management; fixed asset management; and end-of-month processes and reportingSupport and encourage a high standard of health and safety practices in alignment with our organisational priority of ensuring everyone goes home safely every night.
What You Bring to the Table  Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, have plenty of energy, love variety, and be happy to get stuck in as a real team player.
Previous experience in a Finance or Accounting role will be advantageous.
