He angitutanga | The Opportunity We are looking for a new Finance Assistant to help support Council's financial operations and services.
Someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and enjoys interacting with people.

This is a part-time permanent role (30 hours per week) and based in our main office in Marton.
He aha te mahi| What you will do Respond to customer enquiries / requests for information to ensure a high level of service is provided.
Ensure all sources of revenue are invoiced, collected and accurately reflected in Council's financial systems.
Provide back up and assistance for the Finance Officer Payables and Finance Officer Revenue.
Comply with relevant legislation, policies, bank and auditing requirements.
Ensure processes/work instructions are fully documented and reviewed regularly to ensure they remain current, identifying areas for process improvement.
Ko wai to Pukeka| What you will bring Thorough understanding and advocacy for the principles of customer first.
Experience in office systems and accounts receivable environment.
Analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
