What's on offer?
We are looking to appoint a Finance Administrator to join our Newcastle Inner City Bypass Project Team. Working closely with Transport for NSW, this project comprises of 3.4kms of four-lane divided road with interchanges at Newcastle Road, Lookout Road, and the John Hunter Hospital precinct. Upgrades to existing connecting roads, pedestrian bridge, and underpass are included in the scope of works to complete. This $450 million project will provide essential infrastructure to the Newcastle community.
Reporting to the Project Finance Manager, you will assist with project financial administration duties including processing site and delivery dockets, purchase orders, and supplier invoices while ensuring records are maintained to meet requirements. This role is vital for our business where you'll also be responsible for:
Prepare weekly payment run batches;
Assist in the allocation of budget and review against procurement strategy;
Assist in ensuring all actuals are correctly recorded in the monthly ledgers;
Complete relevant financial reporting;
Maintain office & equipment registers.

Previous experience in a similar role in a construction environment with data entry in online systems (preferably in JD Edwards);
Ability to prioritise, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines;
High attention to detail with an ability to pick out inconsistencies;
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
Intermediate skills in Microsoft office applications.
