Field-based opportunity across Wellington, New Zealand Excellent remuneration, bonus, benefits, also includes TOT (tool of trade), e.g. Car, Laptop, Phone Upskill and grow in an area you're passionate about , while being fully supported and encouraged Join a trusted Global leading Animal Health organisation Your primary responsibility will be to execute the Field Services Veterinarian (FSV) strategy and tactical plans to achieve business outcomes, drive sales and market share growth predominantly into veterinary practices. You will maximise biopharma and portfolio opportunities including launches, and provide first class technical support to our customers, stakeholders, KOLs and influencers, and support the technical needs of the sales regions.  You will interact with customers on a technical level, deliver presentations at forums both local and national, and train sales representatives on the use of technical data during sales calls. You'll also coach sales representatives on technical selling. Of critical importance to the successful execution of this role is the ability to communicate technical information effectively to a range of audiences. This includes the development of effective product/industry training programs for appropriate staff. The Field Services Veterinarian will also support preparation of technical tools and provide field technical support to the marketing team. What You Will Do Successfully execute the Field Veterinary Services strategy and action plans to achieve business goals. Liaise with the sales team to develop and implement territory plans for technical field coverage, including customer visits, provision of best practice technical trainings and presentations, and measurement and achievement of defined key team field metrics. Utilise the sales team within territory to influence customers and clients to drive sales and market share growth. Serve as the territory's technical expert, evaluating regional and individual technical training needs of the sales representatives and coaching sales representatives in technical selling skills. Prepare and deliver technical trainings on Animal Health products to our veterinary and retail customers and to university and TAFE students. Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and stakeholders (e.g. veterinarians, vet nurses, store managers, etc). Develop and maintain relationships with KOL's (key opinion leaders) and key influencers (e.g. specialists, vet schools, key accounts etc) to investigate, evaluate, obtain alignment, and implement new business opportunities. Effectively use CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools. Represent our company at Veterinary Schools, Professional Veterinary Associations and Conferences. Provide technical advice to veterinarians, veterinary and pet retail staff, and consumers on company products. Develop and implement market development studies and produce publications to support launches and drive portfolio development.  Implement formal training programs for the sales teams to measure their competencies. Ensure effective communication across the sales and marketing team, sharing knowledge and participating positively in sales team meetings and marketing-initiated forums. Monitor market trends, and competitor activities and provide strategic and tactical recommendations to grow our company's market share.   What You Must Have A Veterinary Degree and Registration with the Veterinary Council of NZ Board - Essential. Prior experience in clinical companion animal veterinary general or specialty practice. Experience with companion animal vaccines and parasiticides. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the confidence to deliver training/presentations. Industry or research experience will be highly regarded but is not essential. Highly developed skills in establishing, influencing and maintaining business relationships. Compliance focused mindset, with strong organisational skills. Highly competent in numerical analysis, technical and verbal data, with a sound and logical approach to problem solving. Self-starter with initiative who works well with minimal supervision. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to make decisions on a day-to-day basis concerning routine activities. Ability to work within a team environment.
