Field Service Engineer - Sales StakeholderAsh Air has been trading in New Zealand for 40 years. We're a leader in our field with 13 locations nationwide, around 90 staff, a supportive head office, and a team who are passionate about the performance of New Zealand's air compressors and vacuum pumps.We have exciting opportunities for a Field Service Engineer - Sales Stakeholder to join our friendly and motivated New Plymouth team!As a Field Service Engineer - Sales Stakeholder, you'll be the first face of Ash Air for our customers, representing our brand wherever you go. We're hiring in New Plymouth and may also cover Hamilton, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki, Wellington, and Hawke's Bay.You must be confident in your mechanical abilities, comfortable talking to customers, but most of all, you must like taking ownership of your role and provide exceptional service to "your" customers.Job tasks and responsibilities:Undertake routine service, breakdowns, and fault finding.Undertake major overhauls on customer's compressed air equipment.Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.Responsible for safely servicing all equipment in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction.Provide valuable sales support to regional sales engineers, including generating leads and assisting in the sales process.Build and maintain strong customer relationships.Accurately document maintenance reports, time sheets, and other relevant information.Key terms and conditions:This is a permanent 40 hours per week full-time position. The hourly base salary range is between $35 and $40, which is dependent on the candidate's qualifications and/or experience.Preferred skills/experience:Minimum 3 years of Mechanical or 2 years of diagnosis experience or holding a Trade certificate or equivalent.Proven ability to work independently as part of a widely spread team.Excellent Customer Service skills.Clean valid driving license.Good computer literacy for time and service reporting.The ability to be on call and travel to site.Previous experience in a field service role.Air compressor maintenance experience is highly preferred.About Ash Air:Ash Air started out as a hire company in 1979.
