This permanent role will assist with the day-to-day management of the field operations and would suit an experienced operational leader who enjoys working in/on machinery as much as supervising people or an individual wanting to advance their personal and professional career in the Agricultural Industry.Based out of our Pukekohe site and supporting cropping activities across the Franklin region, flexibility in this role is key, as you balance operational requirements with good people practices, supporting our people to do their best work.ResponsibilitiesAssisting as well as leading, day-to-day operational activities, planning seasonal requirements for plant and machinery and team management/support to execute the functions of the growing division.Operate Ag Machinery across a wider range or crop and crop-related activities.Liaise with workshop to ensure plant, equipment and vehicles are maintained in good repair and safe operating condition.Building effective trusting relationships with all stakeholders.Demonstrate "Health and Safety Everyday" proactively ensure best practice in the management of health, safety and wellbeing in our growing division.What you will bringProven experience in a similar role in the agriculture industry.Knowledge of modern farming technology and equipment.Able to adapt to changing conditions and requirements with the ability to think on your feet.Must be legally entitled to work in NZ.Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.What we will do for youOpportunity to advance your career.Friendly and supportive work environment.Competitive Rates.Company Vehicle.
