We are needing a Field Application Engineer to join our Chirstchurch team!

What you will do:

Understanding the technical specification, provide value engineering, and raise queries if required for pre-sale and post-sale inquiries, identifying product part numbers, preparing quotations, margin calculation, raising SPR's for approval based on DOA.
Keep database of customers, consultants, end users and owners. Replying to initial queries on quotes. Coordinating with CSRs and Sales to monitor weekly billing, dispatches. Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement solutions.

How you will do it:

Develop systems knowledge to be able to offer value engineering solutions for Fire Detection and Emergency Warning systems.
Create quotations based on customer enquiries and supporting sales managers on pending quotations and updating status on salesforce.
Prepare margin calculations and creating and submitting SPR's based on target market pricing provided by the sales managers.
Create, maintain and review on a periodic basis a database of users, specifiers, installers and approving authorities for our product line.
Help customer service members in resolving problems and completing work.
Provide support to customers whom wish to escalate an issue and resolving problems.
Communicate with other departments and management to resolve problems and expedite work.
Liaising with sales personnel for order processing.
Utilize Salesforce.com to prepare maintain and update a list of upcoming projects as provided by the Sales Managers, giving forecasts on the value of our products involved in the project. This list will also carry analysis on the percentage chance we have in securing these products.

What we look for?

Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
With 3 to 4 years work-related experience in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
With Full NZ driver's license.
Ability to travel.
