About the Role Role: Female Community Paediatric Care Assistant Location: St Austell Pay: Up to £16.44 depending on shift and role Shifts: every Saturday (10:00am to 4:00pm), waking nights on every other Saturday, Wednesdays and holidays (08:30pm to 06:30am).
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Female Community Paediatric Care Assistants to join our team.
In this role, you will provide essential support to children and young people, addressing their complex clinical needs while offering practical support to their families.
This is not just a job; it's an opportunity to profoundly impact the lives of children, providing them with the care and support they need to thrive.
You will be supporting a service user living with a neurological disorder, brain stem hypoplasia and an upper airway construction for this role.
What You'll Do Your role will involve delivering both clinical and social care tailored to the unique needs of each child.
Your responsibilities will include: Personal Care and Support: Assisting with daily tasks to ensure the comfort and well-being of the child Challenging Behaviour Support: Managing and responding to challenging behaviours with sensitivity and expertise Community Access: Supporting the child in accessing and participating in community activities, fostering social interaction and independence Promoting Independence: Encouraging and empowering the child to achieve greater autonomy in their daily life Medication Support: Ensuring the safe administration of medication Specialist Clinical Care: Providing advanced clinical care, including but not limited to invasive/non-invasive ventilation, tracheostomy care, gastrostomy, pulse oximetry/oxygen, oral suction, enteral feeding, nebuliser treatment and seizure management With the support of our dedicated regional teams and cutting-edge technology, you will have the tools and training you need to make a significant difference in your clients' lives every day.
What We're Looking For To excel as a Female Community Paediatric Care Assistant, you should have: At least 6 months of professional care experience or experience caring for a loved one in the UK The right to work in the UK Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience working with children and young people (preferred, but not essential as full training is provided) A valid driver's licence and reliable access to a personal vehicle Why Join Newcross Healthcare?
