The Partnership comprises 20 dairy and dairy support farms, covering around 4,000 hectares with 80 kaimahi and/or contractors supporting the farming operations.The RolePKW is seeking an experienced and talented Farming Partner (Contract Milker) to operate a 700-cow property located at Oeo, near Manaia, and within 30 minutes of Hawera township in South Taranaki. This is a chance to work in a supportive farming group and farm a well-established property with appropriate infrastructure.The position of Contract Milker encompasses the following Key Accountabilities:Health and Safety - Proactively advance Health and Safety opportunities internally to develop a positive health and safety culture.Employing, leading, and remunerating team members.Financial planning and budget management.Milk production, compliance, and quality management.Animal health, welfare, and reproduction management.Farm/Asset Maintenance - Maintenance of the farm and supporting infrastructure as required.Feed allocation and production improvement.Accurate and timely engagement and reporting.About the Farm (known as Farm 9)Picturesque property consisting of 225ha effective on the Waimate Plains.700 cows (Spring Calved) with medium levels of feed input to facilitate animal health and welfare and to meet productivity targets.60-bail Rotary with Automatic Cup Removers.Producing around 300,000+ kgMS/annum.Three dwellings (Main dwelling is 4-bedrooms with the other two employee dwellings being 3-bedrooms).The on-farm team is to be negotiated with the successful candidate, but staffing levels must support all on-farm workers to be on a rostered basis with regular time off, as per PKW's Fatigue Management Policy.Majority of machinery required will be supplied by PKW.
