Ravensdown Environmental provides consultancy services to support farmers to achieve the environmental and sustainability goals for their farming businesses.
Due to a reset strategy and vision for the business unit, there is an opportunity for an experienced people leader to take Ravensdown Environmental into its next chapter.
Reporting to the Chief Environment and Sustainability Officer this key role will ideally be based in Christchurch (other locations by negotiation) and will be responsible for developing capability within the current national team while building capacity to meet growing demand for specialist farm environmental advice.
You will be an experienced people leader with strong commercial acumen who builds credibility through your knowledge and skillset.
Able to be strategic with an eye to the future, you will be somebody who enjoys leading people and fostering collaboration between internal and external parties.
You will be agile and able to rapidly adapt to changing environments and seek new opportunities while bringing your team along with you.
The role: Leading the team, business development, commercial positioning and overseeing technical capability delivery across a national team Responsible for the operational management and business growth for the farm environmental advisory service Deliver career development pathways, consistent workflows and deliverables tailored to customer needs in order to meet Ravensdown's strategic goals Represent the farm environmental service across the wider Ravensdown business and beyond Develop a service offering that is agile to the changing needs of customers and key stakeholders Background and Skills: Relevant degree level qualification Experience in leading consultant teams working in environmental management or agriculture Proven ability to build and maintain high performing teams capable of delivering business objectives Track record of identifying new business opportunities and adapting service offering to grow business Relationship management skills and ability to build credibility across all levels of the business and beyond Understanding of current environmental legislative and regulatory requirements that impact farmers Passionate about making a difference for New Zealand's agricultural sector Benefits Competitive remuneration package Ongoing career and development opportunities Genuine work/ life balance  If this is the next opportunity you have been looking for to bring real value and take your career to the next level with a strong and established brand, apply now!
