Farm Assistant/ Herd Manager

We are seeking a motivated 2IC that is passionate about the industry and seeing results. You will be working alongside the sharemilkers who live on the farm. The farm is situated in the lower Hawkes Bay region, with good schooling and 5 mins from town. Ideally, a partner/wife would be interested in calf rearing and/or relief milking (part-time position), although this is not essential.
The farm milks 400 cows through a 28 h/b with acrs, has covered feed pads, and has just installed halter. It is a spring calving farm with springers calving predominantly in the herd home. All calves are reared. The current roster is 5 and 2, 6 and 1, but we are open to this.
Duties include:
Milking
Keep shed clean and tidy (we are very farm proud)
Weed control
Feeding - mixer wagon
General maintenance
