Farm and Forests Business Operations ManagerNati Growth Ltd is seeking a Farm and Forestry Business Operations Manager to enhance the efficiency and success of their farming and forestry operations. This role involves overseeing management teams, developing strategic plans, and ensuring effective procurement and land-use practices while fostering a strong health and safety culture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in farm operations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced in the East Coast of New Zealand.What You'll DoAs the Farm and Forestry Business Operations Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of these two key pillars of the Nati Growth Ltd portfolio. You'll be tasked with ensuring the businesses run efficiently and that all parts are working towards achieving goals and targets. Your key responsibilities will include:Overseeing the on-farm manager/supervisors and supporting people management, while ensuring their resourcing/structure is fit-for-purpose. You will also oversee specific land-lease arrangements for farming (Sheep, beef, and forestry).Helping to set annual operating, financial plans & KPI's across areas including feed plans, fertiliser plans, livestock management, trading plans, maintenance plans, & budgets. These can be set with specialist consultant input.The successful delivery of plans & KPI's.Supporting land use analysis, optimisation initiatives, and change implementation.Driving key procurement relationships across farming (Sheep, beef, and forestry), including some key contract management.Supervising the 3rd party forest management relationships – holding partners to account on budgets, activities, etc.Health & Safety – driving the culture and control monitoring across farming.What You BringThe ideal candidate for the Farm and Forestry Business Operations Manager role at Nati Growth Ltd will bring a wealth of experience in farm operations management and will be comfortable helping to set and realise the strategic goals of the businesses. You have sound financial, strategic and farm system capabilities. An understanding of the unique challenges that the East Coast of New Zealand presents is essential, from both a farming and forestry context. It is highly desired that the successful candidate possesses well established professional relationships across the region.Your strong leadership skills, coupled with your excellent communication and commercial abilities, will enable you to successfully manage staff and liaise with key stakeholders.
