About the role: This role sits within Pacific Health Development, which is a unit within the Pacific Health Hospital & Specialist Services Improvement Directorate. The Fanau Ola Manager will have experience to contribute to the management, nursing leadership, innovation, and excellence in the delivery of this service within Health New Zealand Counties Manukau. Fanau Ola also delivers Pacific Cultural Competency Training that contributes to increasing the knowledge around Pacific cultures and improving how we respond and deliver care to our community.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, and based at Middlemore Hospital.
About you: The ideal candidate will need to have:
Registered health professional/clinician with postgraduate tertiary qualification in a relevant area of clinical practice. Experience in operational management of a clinical and allied health team/service. Excellent relationship building and management skills. Excellent skills in working with Pacific patients, families, and communities. Familiarity with a patient and whanaau/fanau centred practice approach with strong health literacy and empowerment skills. What's in it for you? Work at the largest organisation in New Zealand.
