This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supervisor who has amazing leadership skills, and who wants to make a difference in their communities and the lives of others.As the Team Leader you will lead the Family Start Team in their transition to the newly established Kahu Taurima Service where they will deliver a child-centred, whanau focused and strengths-based service. The Team Leader will guide Whanau Workers to enable parents to increase their confidence as parents, equip them with fundamental parenting and child development knowledge and improve their overall social, education and health aspirations.As the Team Leader you will:Inspire your team to deliver a professional standard of practice.Guide your team to contribute to the well-being of whanau within our local communities.Provide day-to-day service coordination to your team.Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Actively support the strategic goals, vision and mission of the organisation.Provide internal supervision to each team member.Work closely with the Senior Practitioner to provide added support to the team.Introduce systems to ensure timely reporting, case noting and data entry of all team members.Our preferred applicant will:Demonstrate strong leadership capability and enjoy coaching, mentoring, and supporting others to succeed.Be registered with the Social Worker Registration Board of New Zealand.Have completed a relevant tertiary (Level 7) clinical degree and have significant job-related experience (Counselling, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, etc).Hold advanced knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of sexual violence, family violence and other forms of abuse.Think systematically and can coordinate, schedule and monitor services to ensure they are delivered to the highest standard.Possess excellent communication, report-writing skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.Have the ability to lead their team through change.Exemplify how they will draw on experience to provide clinical supervision for the Family Start Team.We offer:Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.Excellent working conditions.Christmas holidays each year due to a Christmas close-down.Monday to Friday business hours, supportive of employee friendly work-life balance.Allocated vehicle to take home to travel to work on daily.Health insurance for all eligible employees.Applicants must hold a valid and full Class 1 drivers licence and be prepared to undergo reference checks and Police Vetting and CYRAS Checks.If you think you meet our requirements, but don't quite feel like you tick all the boxes above that's okay!
